Insurance and Fees

In Network

I am currently in-network with the following healthcare plans in CA and NY:

  • Aetna

  • Cigna

  • Optum, which includes UnitedHealthcare, Oscar, and Oxford

Out of Network

If you have an insurance plan for which I am not in network with, I can provide you with a receipt for services rendered that you may submit to your insurance company for reimbursement consideration. I cannot guarantee your insurance company will reimburse you. Since coverage will vary based on your plan, I recommend calling your insurance provider and asking about your out of network coverage.

Fees

If you are not using your insurance, my out-of-pocket fees are:

  • Intake appointment: $200

  • Individual therapy (approximately 50 minutes): $175

Payment

Payments are due at the time of service. Cash, check, credit card, and FSA/HSA are all accepted forms of payment.

Sessions are by appointment only. While I hate charging for missed sessions, I do reserve that time for you. Therefore, you will be charged $175 (not just a co-payment) for missed sessions or for those canceled without 24-hours’ notice, except in medical emergency.

Please note most insurance carriers will not reimburse missed appointments and you will be solely responsible for paying for any missed or late canceled appointments (not just an insurance copay).

Good Faith Estimate

Cancellation Policy

Under the law, health care providers need to give clients who do not have insurance or who are not using insurance an estimate of the expected charges for medical services, including psychotherapy services.

You have the right to receive a Good Faith Estimate for the total expected cost of any non-emergency healthcare services, including psychotherapy services.

You can ask your healthcare provider, and any other provider you choose, for a Good Faith Estimate before you schedule a service, or at any time during treatment.

If you receive a bill that is at least $400 more than your Good Faith Estimate, you can dispute the bill. Make sure to save a copy or picture of your Good Faith Estimate.

For questions or more information about your right to a Good Faith Estimate, or how to dispute a bill, see your Estimate, or visit www.cms.gov/nosurprises.
