About Me

I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) and certified by Postpartum Support International as a perinatal mental health professional (PMH-C). I graduated Magna Cum Laude from the University of California, Irvine where I earned my Bachelor of Arts degree in Criminology, Law, and Society. I then continued my education at the University of California, Los Angeles where I earned my Masters in Social Welfare (MSW) with a mental health concentration.

I was born and raised in Southern California, and recently returned to the Conejo Valley after living on the East Coast (New York City and Philadelphia) for over a decade.

My Experience as a Mental Health Professional

For the past 10+ years, my work has taken me through a diverse range of settings. This includes community mental health, a school and counseling center, and several hospital systems including Jamaica Hospital Medical Center, Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia, and Hospital for Special Surgery. My hospital experiences include working in the emergency room, inpatient/outpatient pediatrics, med-surg inpatient units, and intensive care units (MICU, SICU, OSCU, PICU, and NICU).

Through my clinical work, I have supported clients and families in addressing a variety of clinical needs, including anxiety, depression, difficult adjustments, life transitions, acute and chronic medical stress, caregiver burnout, parenting skills, trauma, domestic violence, sexual assault, child abuse, substance use disorders, homelessness, grief, loss, family issues, and relationship problems. Moreover, I have worked with clients of all ages (children, adolescents, adults, older adults) and my patient population has been diverse in terms of cultural, social, and ethnic backgrounds.

Hitting Closer to Home

It was my own challenging journey to motherhood, combined with my professional experience in the medical setting, that led me to build a therapy practice focused on perinatal mental health and medical stress.

As a licensed therapist, I am constantly seeking opportunities to expand my knowledge to treat clients more effectively in my practice. Whether through professional community involvement, clinical consultation, training courses, or continuing education, the goal is always to better support those who come to me for help.

When I am not tending to my clients, I enjoy traveling, trying new restaurants and cuisines, decorating, and spending quality time with my husband and our beautiful rainbow daughter!
